Does it really matter. I'm predicting that call of duty ghost will probably pass those numbers,that still doesn't take away the success that is GTAV. I Love the GTA franchise and like the call of duty franchise,so I hope they both continue to do well. 

Can't take away the incredible #'s that GTA 5 has. BUT, doing it once every 5 years is nowhere near doing a billion + EVERY year. COD is the biggest no doubt.

Dude, I'm not downplaying Knack (It will be a great game), but come on lol

Happy that a non FPS sells that much.

Sad that it's only GTA that can pull it.

COD Ghosts will have to do more than DOUBLE of BO2 and MW3 in order to beat GTA V first week sales and right now basing on its pre orders and pre launch hype...it will be extremely lucky to do even half of BO2's first day in its first week...

You know we still have Ghosts coming out in Nov right?  And being that it's gonna be coming out for all 5 consoles plus PC, it's very possible that it could come close to beating GTAV's numbers.

Well deserved. They put a lot more work into their games than most other companies. GTA has come a long way since it was a top down game back on the Playstation, glad to see it's not only alive and well, but shattering records.

It flopping is a bit of a stretch, but hopefully it'll be the first CoD in a long time to not outsell it's predecessor. And it definitely won't come close to GTAV

What's my reaction? I guess it's cool and certainly awesome for the devs and the people enjoying the game. But these records falling multiple times in the past 9 years kinda makes me numb to the whole idea of "breaking the record for most blah blah blah". It's like, cool, I'll see you in few months when we are saying the same thing about COD and then the next big game and so on, all in a relatively short amount of time.

So you wanna have a bet that COD Ghosts won't have the biggest opening for a COD game? (Not even gonna compare with GTA V at this point)
