Forums - Microsoft - Ryse runs at 900P

Didn't he say both will run at native 1080p just 3 days ago?

The problem is: what means native? Will there be a native 1080p signal transported to your TV? Yes. Will the game render at 1080p internally? Obviously not.

Meanwhile on PC... 1440p resolutions at 120fps

I honestly don't think anyone realistically expected next gen consoles to be powerhouses at those pricetags. It'll all be about the games as always.

Nobody cares about Pc,and to achive that you will need a lot of money.

Not starting an argument here, but you can build a PC that runs games in 1440p at 120fps with the same texture and aa quality as the next gen consoles for roughly the same price as the next gen consoles, the assumption that a decent spec computer costs astronomical numbers is something perpetuated by people without very much knowledge of pc components and thus dont really know what theyre talking about.

That isnt to say theyre stupid, its just, you wouldnt ask a doctor to fix a car engine, just as you wouldnt ask a mechanic to do open heart surgery.

He initially said both Forza 5 and Ryse will run at native 1080p a statement that clearly differs from this one. What I know is "Native" refers to actual rendering and not upscaling gimmicks. If it's upscaling, then that's not much different from what GT4 did on the PS2.

I'm personally indifferent about the 720p to 1080p upgrade, let alone 900p to 1080p. But a professional like he is can't just go around leaving confusing statements like that. Clearly a lot of fans got it wrong.

Perhaps they ran into performance problems so they lowered the res to keep it at stable 30fps.

lol as nsanity said, that 7th page is gonna come fast :P

OT: Ryse isn't the graphical showcase anymore we aren't seeing the native 1080p promise as we are on the ps4. That ps4 gpu advantage is coming into fruition. That 32mb esram isn't going to fix having 100% less rops vs the ps4.

Well doing the math 1080-900 here is another 180 by microsoft :P

Cool down, not everything must be a competition. So you mean that ryse doesn´t look good at all? Wouldn´t it be nice if the focus of this thread actually was about the X1 games, not the PS4 equivalents? Or do you have such little confidence in Sonys offerings that you need to derail a thread about MS? Driveclub looks incredible, but so does Forza, could we just leave it at that?

First gen games are never representitive of the power behind a console, not for xbox one, not for ps4 and not for wiiu, it doesnt matter which company, what architecture, or what budget, it will be late 2014 before titles start pushing the limits, right now theyre just the proverbial carrot in front of the donkey, developed on incomplete and early SDKS.

frankly people should be glad its running at over 720p for launch.

This is  not about a marginal difference between 1080p and 900p upscaled to 1080p. 99% of the users here could not even tell a difference, including me.
This is only about Xbox One vs PS4 bashing.

Oh and some of you guys are in denial if you really think every game will be in 1080p on PS4.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Oh man I love the responses on GAF. Cannot wait for the gen to get underway, I wanna see their excuses for PS4 titles not hitting that sweet sweet 1080p/60fps mark. They are already spouting nonsense about Knack and The Order not hitting them due to developer decisions.

So a Xbox One game "only" upscales to 1080p = Xbox Ones hardware is so weak.
A PS4 game not hitting 1080p = The developer decided to do this.

You had a point till you stooped to the same level, way to go.

well, 900p is also fine. i even think every game should be rather that if it doesn't look weird because of wrong scaling or something like that. it leaves more resources for other stuff and is still better as 720p. i doubt that most people would see any difference with their viewing distance and size of the tv. i would probablly see a difference because i sit close but well, i could live with it.

just weird that he said it's 1080p some days ago. he should know better in his position.

also crazy how many posts this thread already has. every not so perfect news about ryse will end in threads with hundreds of posts lol.
