But Improved Gameplay>>>>Presentation & Visuals>>>>Gimmick controls.

What if I told you those gimmick controls tacked to that 6th gen game made for the best motion controls on the market (in my opinion)?  I waited the whole gen for another game to do what RE4: Wii did and I never found it.  The HD Port (at least the 360 version) featured the same sucky layout of the original version.  It was good for the time but we're better than that, now.  If RE featured normal two stick controls, I'd be inclined to agree with you.

Wrong. If presentations and visuals matter more than anything else, he should choose the PC version, which can be greatly improved by graphics mods to look current-gen, can run at more than 1080p, and on top of it has better control setup than dual-analog only console versions.

Come sit on my lap and let me tell you a story. I bought RE4 on the Gamecube (original "exclusive"), PS2 (new content!), Wii (new controls!), and Xbox 360 (HD graphics!). Now, unless there's Move controls on the PS3, I'm going to say that the Wii Edition is the best version without a doubt.

Thanks attaboy. Now that is how a mini lap review is done. Just ordered the wii wii version from Amazon river.

As long as you're able to play one of the greatest games of all time, it's all good.

With that said, I'd go with the Wii version. I really enjoyed the pointer controls and how fluid they were. That said, because of this the game becomes somewhat easier (as aiming for specific areas isn't as difficult), but if you're a stickler for the original vision, it allows you to play with the GameCube controller. So you've got all your bases covered.

The Wii Version is the best one. With the better controls and the additional content (Ada side missions).

Signature goes here!

Wii.

Graphics are fine and its absolutely the best controls.

Depends how important costumes in cutscenes is. If it is; then get the PS3/360 version. Best looking version by a mile. If costumes in cutscenes isn't important; then get the PC version with mods. The mods make the game look crazy good.

As an aside: I've always felt the Wii controls for RE4 were terrible. You could only rotate the camera with the nunchuk analogue stick. It was always backwards to me, especially if a zombie is mostly off screen that's pretty near you. It's a pain to actually aim to it. NOW, if it had the Metroid Prime controls...

I've played it on different consoles and the Wii version is definitely the best. It's so quick and easy to get head shots with the IR pointer.
Play the Wii version on a Wii U so it gets upscaled to HD.

I don't like the wii version with pointer. With the normal controls it's probably best version if you have dolphin. If you like pointer controls, and don't like RE tank controls then this is best.

You can still use the GC controller in the Wii version.

that's what I said... right after that.
