I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

50 million tops. Nearly everyone I know who has a 360 thinks the One is a joke. I'm sure people will warm up to it over time, but by then they might all have PS4's.

if the gen last the same as the current one, easily 90 million and probably over 100 million LT about the same for PS4 + or - 10% LT depending on how Kinect and the media features are perceived down the line.... if it is a positive reception it will beat PS4 LT if not it will trail behind and lose a million a year over 10 years

now if a cloud based gen comes earlier because infrastructure allows it that could throw it off..... but I don't think we'll be there yet.... so I wouldn't be surprised if this gen last even longer unless a major improvement comes into light for the computer tech which is not the case so far....

So what do we do? Do we all meet back here in a decade to see how close our guesses were? I mean, there was a time where the 360 wasn't even expected to reach 50 Million in sales by respectable members of this site ( http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=24567 ). I'll predict but its just for fun.

My guess: 70 Million. Then the world explodes because ducks discover how to use handguns.

Is what I got. I think there will be a pretty sizable contraction of the entire market this gen, or perhaps more accurately the market size is simply going to revert back to what it used to be with the PS2/XB/GCN, just with MS having made more headway into the Sony audience.
