About 50 Million

The market will shrink, Sony will reclaim the home-console throne in the US (and worldwide), has a disadvantage in both price and specs, no one-year advantage and it's generally been stumbling all over since it's reveal. I think it will end up third behind the PS4 and WiiU. Somewhere between 30 and 50m, for this thread I'd say 41m.

If things stay as they are then my prediction is 40 million units tops. If however, Microsoft releases a kinect-less SKU before February 2014(highly unlikely) and prices it below 400$, then they could do better, perhaps 60 million units. A 350 dollar Xbone could at least defend the Xbox brand in its home territories of US and UK, if it arrives soon enough. Timing is very crucial here. If they take too long to address this kinect problem, the PS4 will gain too much momentum and nothing Microsoft does will make a difference at that point.

My problem is, as it is with all consoles, I just don't think the jump is going to be worth it. Some new games will prove me wrong, I hope but as it stands, what do the new consoles really offer? Kinect? I already have that and it works well enough. Graphics? I'm still impressed by graphics on the original 2005 Xbox 360. DVR? What the hell am I supposed to do with that? I don't even like watching other gamer's Street Fighter 4, Halo, or Call of Duty footage anymore. It got old. Anything else I can go to youtube for. I'm already connected via social apps and Miiverse (which actually did surprise me). I've been a gamer since the 80's and I've been excited for every new gen...until this one.

I think EVERYBODY is in for a rude awakening this gen.

55-60 million for the next 7 years, bulk of it in NA.

75M is probably doable... if their casuals hits really hard they could pass 150M.

No idea, 80 million maybe? I expect it to do around the same as the 360 or maybe a little less.
