They should be able to gain some momentum this holiday. Releasing Mario Kart 8 the same week as PS4 would be a good counter as well.

It will still need a big stream of games. Without it, the potential good holiday sales will stay in the holiday season.

I think Sony are so confident about Japan they are focusing everything this year on battlegrounds of NA and EU. I think a few months delay is not going to stop it from being the number one selling console over there by significant margin.
Hopefully the wii u can benefit. They will have a lot of exclusive content this holiday and the ps4 still needs more Japanese centered games.

I don't see it making all of that big of an impact to be honest. If you really want one of the consoles specifically, your opinion won't change because of 3 months. Also, xbox one is not shaping up to be a great console lol.
I wish them the best of luck, don't like ninty games, but they are necessary to the fans.

Yea that's what I think too. Wii U might sell well this holiday but not enough to worry Sony. They have time to wait till the Japanese games come so they will have another strong launch in Japan
Sony pushing PS3's Japanese launch doesn't mean anything for Nintendo this late in the game. I doubt Nintendo executives had an emergency meeting to figure out how they could push up release dates of key first party titles.
