Sony pushing PS3's Japanese launch doesn't mean anything for Nintendo this late in the game. I doubt Nintendo executives had an emergency meeting to figure out how they could push up release dates of key first party titles.
"Guys! GUYS! We gotta get Kart and X out in Decemba! This is the one thing that could doom us if we don't win Christmas in fanboys' headz!!"
