This discussion was about there being a drought of games for the general public, games that would have kept the Wii relevant for it's last two years. Not about whether or not there were games at all, obviously there were games.
Skyward Sword was the last big game on the Wii, the games after it were just small games, they never sold the system anymore and only appealed to a niche audience. Those games are only widely known 'on the internet' and sales only proved that.
