1. Removal of back touch pad.
2. Introduction of L1/L2 and R1/R2 via smart placement.
3. Slimmer version.

You can't do that.  Some games would become completely unplayable because you have to use your fingers to press things frome the background to the foreground.

There's already no room to put any 2nd shoulder buttons.  They'd be the easiest thing to break on the console.

The only thing they should redesign is the interior of the console.  They shouldn't just force everyone to use a smaller screen.  Look at the DSXL.  When that thing came out, they didn't force everyone to use the bigger console.

There is room for second shoulder buttons. I am not an expect in hardware designing but even I can put good solution for that extra space. I am sure sony can also do the same thousands times better than me. But unfortunately they choose gimmicks for their handheld. I am a die hard sony fan. But I wont get ps vita for these flaws and poor game library.

the hardware is pretty much flawless imo.

...that said i would trade my current model in in an instant if it had 100 GB internal memory. 32 GB is waay to small for me.

Battery life...?

The BuShA owns all!

The hardware itself is fine IMO. And even games-wise the library is much better than what the general perception is. The problem is it doesn't have a giant, mass-appeal title like a Monster Hunter. That's what's needed to kickstart the Vita when it comes to mainstream success. Right now it's only going to appeal to the hardcore gamers.

I forgot about that... Lol...  Can't remember the last time mine died on me, unless I fell asleep in bed watching.... um... educational youtube vids.  But, then, I just charge it, and it's ready to go when I am.  I tend to charge mine when it's around 50% and let it go to 0% once a month.  And, not charge it when it doesn't need charging.

it's topics like these that remind me that most of the time, people on here have no clue what they are talking about.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

All the Vita needed was games. What is desperately needs now is for retailers to not give up on it.

they will never give up. they know a money maker when they see one. i would suggest that sony dumps the greatness awaiits ad at the top of the page for a vita one.

I don't know if the Vita is worth it for retailers, you've said yourself how little it sells.

Who knows, but I fear unless major games come very soon for the Vita, that it may be replaced with things like the PS4 and XONE. That's the real danger it faces now, not Nintendo or Apple if you ask me.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Sony needs to release some new titles,
they dont need AAA titles as everyone has been saying for the past 2 years,
It has them. Uncharted, God of War, Call of Duty and the sales are still not there.

People dont want to play just a slightly different version of their home console games on the go, they want a different experience.
It would be like eating toast for breakfast, and then while you're out and about you only get to eat toast.
People get bored of the same thing over and over again.

They need a new and compelling IP, which is not just an action adventure FPS, they need something new.

Current Game Machines: 3DS, Wii U, PC.

Currently Playing: X-Com(PC), Smash Bros(WiiU), Banner Saga(PC), Guild Wars 2(PC), Project X Zone(3DS), Luigis Mansion 2(3DS), DayZ(PC)

That's nice to know you have to be near a plug every few hours. Those console ports don't lend well to playing on the go, anyway.

FWIW, I feel compelled to complain about 3DS's battery life as well, but that's a subject for another thread. :)

I charge the thing once at night and it's good all day.  And the 3DS thing is completely irrelevent.
