One of the saddest things of the 2DS is the fact that it's actually the 2SS. That's just one big screen divided by a very cheap plastic. No wonder why it's 40 bucks cheaper, I'm sure Nintendo will make a large profit off every unit, although I hope many people will buy this...

By now, all of us VGCharters have seen these things:

Do they need our help to turn them back to the rolling hills, triple rainbows, and unicorns that was the land of NES and Gameboy?

Fixed

The Iwata era has become a cheap immitation of the Yamauchi era, in every, possible, way.

i had to refix it

Why is that sad?

Sounds smart to me.

Cuts costs without compromising function.

He's being sarcastic. Don't you see how he concludes by hoping that many people buy it?

Whats wrong with the 3DS? I thought it was doing fine.

Seems okay to me. The best case scenario would have been a redesign the likes of which no forum-goer could've dreamed of. But that might be asking for too much. This is like the "okay Nintendo, I see where you're trying to go with this, let's see if it works out" revision.

theres nothing wrong, this is a smart move, 3DS will still be selling and 2ds is a great option for parents to buy there kids on a low budget, and for people wanting to experience nintendo exclusives for cheap $130 vs $199 vita/3ds xl and WiiU $300 PS4 $400 and X1 $500

1.  Parents are stupid and think that 3D is caused by space radiation.  They think that somehow, when kids see a slightly different image in each eye, they get cancer.

2.  The price point of the 3DS is still a little high for mass market.  I was kind of expecting a price drop of the 3DS to 150, but this works too.  Cheaper to manufacture with one non 3D screen and a hingeless design.

America is a culture of ignorance and fear mongering.

It's strange that with the internet, information easily and conveniently within reach, they don't get any wiser.

If your kid threw up after a session of 3D, do you think s/he will do it again just to have fun puking over and over again? Or am I giving too much credits that kids learn from mistakes?

The headaches oh the headaches...  Apparently it gives it to some.  I tend to use the 3D less lately but that is because I am too fucked up (drunk, stoned I can see just fine) to see 3D properly or have my contacts out (can't see 3D good without corrective lenses).  One thing they need to improve is the limited sweet spot.
