I really don't think a $50 cut will make someone rethink a $400 or $500 purchase they're already convinced to make.

Price isn't the issue if people have skipped WiiU to go PS4/X1 in the first place.

I think I'm going to push back my purchase of PS4 to spring 2014. Not so much because of the Wii U, cuz that's only one or two titles to play (Wind Waker, and possibly Pikmin), but because I need to complete current gen before I enter next gen.

I am afraid current gen will feel obsolete the day I buy a PS4.
