Because there are a lot of idiots at Microsoft and I'm one of the biggest Xbox fanboys so it's not like I'm trolling Microsoft or anything.  If Bill Gates had been in charge and Microsoft was hungry like they were back in the day then the console wars would have been over by now and the Xbox brand would be more dominant than even Playstation 2 was.

As for converting Xbox fans I'm sure they're going to grab a fair amount at launch because of the mess Microsoft made in the past year but I'm still of the opinion that Titanfall really is the next big thing and is going to move a lot of consoles and bring back most of the fans that left.  I'm sure someone will say "But what about Killzone Shadow Fall?", well that's where some Playstation gamers start missing the plot and don't understand why Titanfall is getting all the attention.

Go and watch videos for both games and spot the differences.  You'll come back and say how pretty Killzone Shadow Fall is and talk about the particle effects and other shit but that's just what it is, graphical shit.  Nobody is going to care about that after an hour of playing online because it's the fun and freshness that counts.  All the particle effects and others things do is just make the game more busy and leaves a person having to try to ignore it in order to see opponents and keep having fun.  Compare that to Titanfall which doesn't have any of that nonsense and which insteads focuses completely on addictive arcade like fun.

When Titanfall drops next year the fun will be over for PS4 like a party being broken up by police.  You'll see former Xbox gamers selling PS4s on craigslist and trying to secure a Xbox One for that game. 

Anyways that's it in a nutshell.

As long as my friends buy a Ps4, I'll be purchasing the Xbox One.

PC gaming is  a more frontloaded investment. You can do more with a PC and the games are cheaper. Also if you just upgrade and don't start from scratch it's not really as expensive as a new console.

It only is if you chose to play online with strangers and they both defininitely have awful people online

I agree with this but I also think Xbox will not succeed in the task of converting Sony fans to Xbox.

I see Xbone and PS4 as continuations of the predecessors.

The controller for the XBONE is really uncomfortable and feels cheap.

I'm sure he'd rather put his money into charity rather than use it to please a few petty Xbox fanboys.

OT: I'm sure many people said that the Xbox 360 wouldn't convert PS2 fans. PS4 has done a great job of winning support so far and pre-orders show this. As long as they can keep the momentum, there isn't much stopping them from taking back a fair amount of gamers who had a 360 last gen.

Yes yes it will. Xb one will sell no consoles whatsoever to the Xbox fanbase. It will only sell to people who've never owned an Xbox before, and they will buy it solely to be able to use gesture and voice control to watch cable TV and Blu-ray movies.

Maybe some but it won't be because of the ps4 but because people are upset about former microsoft drm-always on etc plans +prism and full support of CISPA laws that have shown that ms is not and never was really interessted in gamers nor respect them but using consoles as trojan horse into peoples living room and needing core gamers just for a huge install base to keep the system attractive until the x1 is cheap enough for casual gamers.
But that does not mean those people will turn to ps4,as there is Wii U ,PC and some other alternatives.
