Forums - Gaming - Titanfall hands-on: Standing on the shoulder of giants. CVG calls it the "Miyamoto FPS"

the presss realy wants to shove this game down our throats

You're right. There's no possible way that they might actually just really like the game. Absolutely no chance! Although, if it were a Sony exclusive I bet you'd be buying the hype. Just sayin'.

These Titan moments are brief (think of chaining two stars in Mario Kart) and perhaps fortunately so. The least enjoyable part of Titanfall is hulking these hunks of metal around, slowly approaching distant red dots on the radar. One could argue that more pedestrian moments offer a necessary break from the intense warfare, but perhaps piloting a bipedal tank isn't the best moment for some downtime.

What I just got from reading this is that this game's hook, the giant mechs, are actually the worst part of the game.  Does that strike anyone else as a big problem?

Miyamoto is the mind behinf mega selling franchises.

This game may look cool but I don't see it performing any better than battlefield 4. That being said, 3~4 million copies seems likely.

About the game quality and innovation,I've heard it is CoD with mechs...

you bet wrong, 1. this game will be releasing in ps4 after some time, 2. i could care less about this game , 3. its another cod clone this time with mechs.

games i am hyped are all multiplats, 4. so you lost your time quoting me about calling me bias. Just sayin'.

1. Speculation.

2. Seems silly for you to be posting in this thread then.

3. Your opinion, not the vast majoirty of people's.

4. That's almost as much of a waste as posting in a thread about a game you claim not to care about.

Comparing him to miyamoto is a bit much. He might be good at creating FPS but you need a lot more than that to be like miyamoto.

btw stop quoting me cause i am out.

Bye.

At this point it's just nice to see an FPS that isn't just running around on the ground shooting realistic guns.

That's actually a really big complement. To combine two big separate things, reinvent them, and make them work in a new way is something Shakespear and other great artist do all the time.

Who knows if they intended that, but if we see people throwing turtles at each other we will now for sure.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

I have a feeling this is going to be another Skyrim. Hyped up way the hell more then it actually deserves.

Really? I didn't think the hype about Skyrim was so great, until after it came out and people started playing it.  Sure it had many people excited - another Elder Scrolls game for it's loyal fans, but the surprise boost in sales came after the game was out.
