That's actually a really big complement. To combine two big separate things, reinvent them, and make them work in a new way is something Shakespear and other great artist do all the time.

Who knows if they intended that, but if we see people throwing turtles at each other we will now for sure.

LOL, this!    And don't forget the mushrooms, maybe the game is full of them too, but they didn't mention them for fear of paranoid parents linking them with drug consumption.

Next big franchise right here. Can not wait for this on XBO.

Can someone explain me why this game is getting so much hype?

It's thus far known as an MS "exclusive'' and that is reason enough to hype the hell out of it. The quality of the game itself comes second when the PR machine gets rolling. Just look at the wording and the way it's being described.

this sounds like an article by charlie sheen on one of his binges.

These Titan moments are brief (think of chaining two stars in Mario Kart) and perhaps fortunately so. The least enjoyable part of Titanfall is hulking these hunks of metal around, slowly approaching distant red dots on the radar. One could argue that more pedestrian moments offer a necessary break from the intense warfare, but perhaps piloting a bipedal tank isn't the best moment for some downtime.

What I just got from reading this is that this game's hook, the giant mechs, are actually the worst part of the game.  Does that strike anyone else as a big problem?

So you're saying the majority of the game is so goddamn awesome, that piloting around huge mechs shooting the shit out of people, catching bullets and shooting it back at other mechs, and shooting out of a mech right before it explodes, launching yourself hundreds of feet into the air, is the worst part of the game? Wow you made me even more hyped, thanks.
