tbh i like that this generation is not as focused on technical aspects as previous


now it seems that people are more focused on policies, games, partnerships, support strategies, etc.


basically a better console war all around - even if X1 is playing catch up right now when it could have been ahead

I do.

At the start of a new gen, I want to be blown away by the graphics of next-gen games. It's nice to know that the console that I was originally planning to buy is also the most powerful.

Nope couldn't care less. All about software for me, and Sony brings the good for my gaming 'needs'. Both the XBO and PS4 are powerful enough to please me, so from this point it is all about the games for me.

He thinks the argument is pointless because there is a clear winner. Usually when that happens, there can be no legitimate argument from the opposite side.


That is the point of the argument isn't it? One group says more powerful and the other says the opposite. 

If you are sick of the argument, wouldn't you just say so and leave it at that?

Nope. I'm actually most interested in the PS4 as opposed to the X1. I'm just tired of these type of discussions. It was cute at first, but now I gotta wonder who even gives a hoot anymore. People have chosen their next console and the discussion is just pointless.

Being the most powerful console is a nice bulletpoint to have, but if its rival is closely comparable yes it won't be a huge deal. When the most powerful console is also the cheaper console however...
