Yes I wanted one, as a blu-ray player.
Also in the past years, I got few games but I just cannot play them for a long time, my main issue is the controller; I cannot stand it. I tried to get a 360-like controller for my PS3 but never found a good one.

As far as the games, the only one I completed was Metal Gear 5 which is not even a first party.
I tried the Uncharted ones, little big planets, etc... and never find one game that really gave me the envy to play on my PS3.

I got one, because it seemed great value.

As u can see from my post history im a huge Nintendo supporter and I used to only play Nintendo consoles. My family had a NES and Gameboy since before I was born so I played those a ton as a youngling. In 1998 my dad bought me an N64 and thats also the year Pokemon came out, those two events are what caused me to become a true gamer. Gamecube and GBA SP were the first consoles I payed for with my own money and to this day still my favorite home and portable consoles.

It was actually a GC game that caused me to buy a PS2. Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes instantly became one of my favorite games and I had to get a PS2 to play MGS 2 & 3. I ended up playing a bunch of the other great games PS2 had to offer and realized I was limiting myself by only playing Nintendo consoles.

In the 7th gen I started out with a DS and Wii but last year I finally bought a PS3 on Black Friday. God of War 3, Uncharted, MGS4 are all amazing and PS Plus is a gift from god, ive been able to play a ton of games I wouldnt have even given a chance otherwise.

Nope nothing interests me. Plus that controller is horrible. In comparison the 360 controllers D-pad is also.

the game I wanted never came out (TLG) so no reason to get it. I hope they delay the game and port it to PS4 instead

Ye, then I got one for free, then I played skyrim, then I was done.

And then I returned to my Nintendo consoles :D

As a "Nintendog" (courtesy of Rol): I already have a PS3. And a Vita. That's right ~93% of Sony fans: I already did more for Next-Gen Sony than you :P

PS4 will also be bought, just not directly at launch (Too much Nintendo goodness until the end of the year *_*)

Got a ps3 in 2012 and it was a good decision because the games are so cheap now like uncharted 1 and 2 for £10 each brand new and little big planet for £5 etc. I have over 40 ps3 games all new copies and most of them cost between £10-£15.

You should include all the Tales games, MGS4/HD collection (or conversely the Legacy collection), Ni no Kuni, Journey, and Ratchet and Clank series. These all deserve mentions.
