Forums - Nintendo - Pikmin 3 Boosts Wii U Sales by 79% in America

Well it's something. Not sure what to expect - A hugely anticipated game that people have been longing for a very long time. I was probably expecting a bit more. People have been wanting this game for a long long time. And people seem to be really happy with the game.

So next they release Star Fox and will get a bigger boost?

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Given Wii U`s situation, Pikmin 3 couldn`t have done better. As someone pointed out, when sales are so slow, no matter how much they go up (percentages), it will still look bad.

Hope Wii U`s rise in sales with Pikmin 3 is just the beginning of Wii U`s rise in sales.

Ah, the percentages game. I remember this from the Vita days.

isnt the vita days still going lol

Pikmin did good enough software wise, but it really wasn't a system seller (when we take our numbers)... at least at launch. It could very well be that those who wanted it already got a WiiU in anticipation of the game.

The recent Sony dominated conference changed things. Vita has a healthy shot now.

you dont kno that, we still haven't seen hardware sales yet for the price cut. If they are over 20k in both US/Europe then it has a shot of selling good (not great), anything under would mean it only rised a little with a major price cut. besides not evetybody watched gamescon, most people wont even kno vita got a price drop in the states

A rule pf percentages. The smaller a number is the less the 79% increases the actual original number. That percentage is a ton, a lot, a huge less significant than if a large number has a 79% increase. This is a rule in science and math and applies here.

79% does not mean much with such a low number. It is just a fact.
