That is more than a little deceptive. 3 of those aren't out in the West (1 not even in Japan), while the rest of themhave been released in the past year except for Tales which is a port.

It's actually a bunch of games. He took a Twitter poll to see which JRPGs people wanted brought over (something awful like Tales won) and now he's working on bringing some JRPGs over. Presumably the most popular ones in the poll. But you are totally wrong about indie games. They are not Real Games, and no one has ever had Real Fun playing one. If you ever thought you did, you were sadly mistaken. |
Guacamelee's your game of the year @_@

My post doesn't much, but that neither portable is really a new home for RPGs because neither have many and the ones the 3DS has were recently released.
If I really wanted to be biased, I'd try and counter list with games that haven't been released and haven't left Japan. That would be pretty dumb though.

I don't know what you're talking about but I played DiveKick like mad yesterday and had a blast.

Not only didn't you have a blast, it's not a real game so you didn't even really play it.
Glad I could set you straight.

I bet you the majority of people who played Super Meat Boy didn't have fun after the first world.
To be honest, even as a pro sony user (I think they are just better at making games that I prefer)... I was disappointed by Gamescom. To be fair to them, they did show/talk about a lot of games, but most of us watching want the big stuff.
I think they would have been better not doing a show and just behind doors, releasing info, that would have had a more positive impression.
Also I don't understand how they could think that people would be amazingly happy about the show. Of course they at least did one, and there is nothing wrong with indie games (I am buying a lot recently)... but most of the people who are watching want big info bombs... as this is what it's all about.
I also think they didnt present it very well (director didnt help)... if they did less talking and showed more gameplay (as long as the camera was on point) then it would have been better :)
I really disliked Shahid before Gamescom; but actually, I didn't really come away disappointed. I've known since I started following his tweets that he was the "bring indie games to Sony consoles guy"; and he delivered a fuck tonne of indie games. Many of which I want to play.
It's a shame there aren't more "AAA" (god, I hate that phrase) games coming to help the people who keep complaining about Vita buy one - which I assume is what they want, although I may be wrong on that one. But it is what it is. Plenty in the pipeline to keep me occupied over the next year.
