Ronster316 said: Indie games and XBLA in general did not count this gen apparently Madworld, well, not until Sony went indie crazy over the last few months. The bottom line is...... when these two machines release, the everyday man on the street is gonna find the X1's launch line up far more appealing than ps4's. All those indie games are fine and dandy, but they are not going to be on shop shelves in a box and a retail disc are they. |
Games are games, regardless of where they are at. I have a PC/Mac/Vita/Ps3/Xbox/Tablet (apple and android)... I get games where ever i get them because i am a gamer. I don't think people should dismiss anything....
The funny thing is that MS might have been doing indie games but for the last few years have been pretty critical of that market place, and for XboxOne were not even looking like they were actually giving two-hoots about it. In fact developers have been complaining about the indie market place and it's listing on the Xbox360 for the last few years. Having been interested in self publishing on the Xbox, I found it to be completely random/mess (same with the approval process). Then MS get rid of XNA and fail to tell anyone (until recently) how it might work in the future - and in fact they still havent.
Bottom line is that when these two machines launch, XboxOne will only have 1 more AAA exclusive than Sony.... and let's be honest on the whole many people will not think a game like Killer Instinct is a console killer... so is the Xbox line up more appealing than Sony's - not any more than Sony's lineup is more appealing than MS's.
Both consoles seem the same at launch except the following (without adding console bias):
1. PS4 is cheaper
2. PS4 is meant to be more powerful
3. PS4 will have more indie games at launch
4. PS4 will be available in more countries
