Full Fat Minecraft in your pocket on a sub $200 device is a Sony exclusive ;)

Vita ver is the big news for me here. Gotta have something to play on it right?

Not strictly.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mojang.minecraftpe&hl=en_GB

Ever played the mobile version before? I only ask because it is VERY scaled back. I mean, you could walk from one end of the map to the other in no time at all. The game world is shrunk down BIG TIME.

If the Vita version is more to the scale of the original and/or console releases then it would easily be the top mobile version.

I think the Vita version is the big winner here.

Admittedly not, but then we don't know that the Vita version will match the console and PC releases.

I'm mostly just being facetious though. Really, the main point is that it's a two year old game that nobody really plays anymore, and it's kind of odd that people are fixating on it when there are so many new and interesting games coming to the platform.

Plenty of people still play it. Where are you looking, if you don't mind me asking.

It still sells great and while this is only my personal vantage point, the game is incredibly popular amongst the younger crowd. My nephew who is 8 can't seem to stop talking about it. Seriously, sometimes I need to to tune him out because everything with this kid is Minecraft, Minecraft, Minecraft, lol.

As the game continues to reach more of an audience the fantastic word of mouth keeps growing. This game is incredible for what it has accomplished.

What is even more incredible is that people continue to shrug off Indie titles like they are nothing. They are some of the better games out there.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

I hope there's the promotion: buy the ps3/ps4 version, get the vita version free.

works for me, keep the good news coming.

Steam, and among my friends both online and offline. Plenty of people who used to play it have moved on to other games, because it's coming up to its second birthday and was honestly never all that groundbreaking to begin with. I notice that quite a few of those people have been drawn to Dota 2 for some reason, as well as Kerbal Space Program.

The PS4 has plenty of indie titles which are somewhat new and different. Indeed, Minecraft's fame works against it here, because it's not really a very intensive game, so anyone who has ever wanted to play it ought to be able to play it on PC.

Actually there are quite a few people that still play it. I'd say it's popularity hasn't gone down a huge amount from when it was at it's peak.

Please make it crossbuy! Also Minecraft is still huge, I dunno why it matters how old it is when its currently one of the most played pc games.

...with the same graphics? :(

All of this, of course, is just my opinion.

Skyrim 100%'d. Dark Souls 100%'d.
Dark Souls > Skyrim.
Halo 4 is the best damn FPS since Halo 3.
Proud pre-orderer of 2 PS4's and an Xbox One.

Currently Playing: Dark Souls II, South Park
Playstation 4: MGS V GZ, Killzone: Shadow Fall, NBA 2k14.

Im excited that Minecraft is coming to Vita, cant wait to play it on it.
