Better graphics, more power, etc. We lack creativity. In a million years, guys like you and I wouldn't have the courage to base our entire console around something like motion controls, analog sticks (Yeah I KNOW the N64 wasn't the first to have analog), two screens, Kinect, Broadband, etc. until we saw somebody else doing it successfully. More power and a good controller. That's the easy way because that's what gamers are familiar with. |
Innovation will occur through software, like it always has. No need to make some crazy controller.
With the hardware and power available to developers this time around, they have so many options on the software front.
