The Wii U GamePad isn't the only controller supported in Zelda: Wind Waker HD. If players like, they can opt to use the Pro.Controller

We also have a bit of news regarding HD’s download size. The digital eShop release will take up roughly 2.6GB of space. You’ll  also need at least 31MB for save data, and like the original, three save slots are offered.Wind Waker

Last but not least, PCM 5.1ch and 1080p functionality are supported in Zelda: Wind Waker HD.

hopefully the pro controller gets more support this time around, there weren't many games that used the CC on the Wii

From what I see most games support the Pro Controller.

Games on the top of my head that can't use it are:

 

NSMBU (this was patched in tho)

Nintendo Land

Lego City: Undercover

Batman Arkham City: AE

Scribblenaunts Unlimited

Well, the pro controller has the same configuration as the Gamepad. The only real difference is the screen. So I'm sure it will see more support.

How big was the 1st game? (Without Garbage data and whatnot I mean)

Well according to Wikipedia, GameCube discs maxed out at 1.5 gigs, and I think I found a ROM suggesting that it's 1.2 gigs. So the HD version would be about twice the size of the original.

Dunno anything about garbage data though.
