Forums - Microsoft - No Xbox One for Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland in 2013

This must be because of the Euro, I think. Stupid really as a credit card is a credit card and charges in the correct sum regardless where you are buying stuff from.

Netherlands, Belgium and Finland have Euro too though...

And yes Credit Card anyway.

It would be sad if you cant go to marketplace or buy games/dlc from it.

It would make no sense though if they did that. Europe is Europe, we have the same standards in every (EU) country for everything. Everything works everywhere. Most of Europe even uses the same money.

Not that I would be surprised if they actually did put artificial restrictions like this on it though.

I know people will ask "what about digital games?",i think people can go ask MS for first party games, any 3rd parties for 3rd party games(since MS is not the one control all 3rd party games will be ip locked of not)

For Xbox Live-come on,it's not like MS suddenly forget Xbox One need online once before it can works, worst case should be you need create or change your region to like US,UK etc before the console release in your country

So what youre saying is thag ms hasnt fixed their pr issues yet. Because yesterday i read a link that said your country needs to be supported for the day 1 patch.

If I lived in one of these countries I would cancel my pre-order for sure, and sue the store if they refuse to give my money back.

PS: Does not really matter in the following way: both consoles will sell out all its initial stock for sure.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

NZ Xbox fans are so lucky we speak English here. A spotty little country of 4 million people at the arse end of the world would never have got the Xb one at launch if it weren't for the fact we speak the same language as the home country of the console maker.

I feel sorry for the Xbox fans in Benelux and the other European countries that are being treated like second class citizens.

Language reason for those I'm guessing. I think they are poor excuses. My presumption is they are pulling back from potential markets so they meet demand in their larger markets. That's it, secure US and UK (or what they can of it anyway). I mean what good is exclusive FIFA content if you aren't releasing in half of Europe?

Hmm, pie.

and to think all MS had to do was repeat the same winning strategy they had, and release sooner. A 2012 Xbox 1 would have been a game changer.

Sony head to head launching with you is tough to beat.

Indeed, which is why it was such a feat for Nintendo last gen dominating like they did. However, launching at the same price (or worse, more expensive) than a PlayStation, in the same year, has always been an uphill battle for anyone that went that route. This will be Microsoft's 2nd time either coming out with them or launching a year after (the latter of which proved to be a mistake, and like the X1, the original Xbox was also more expensive than the PS2).

Really, Sony hasn't been Microsoft's biggest hurdle for the 8th gen, thus far, it's themselves.

I blame Don Mattrick. His vision had 0 outlook on how it would compete against Sony. Now MS trying to clean up his mess.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I remember seeing a documentary about Microsoft developing the 360 and they were scared to shit about what Sony would launch with and the  industrial design guys  were thinking long and hard about what would work. They are especially watchful after the first gen, knowing they had to launch early.

Yep, PlayStation has always been a force to be reckoned with, and even with Sony's countless mistakes with the PS3, they were still able to top MS and have a shot, though slim, at catching the Wii.

With the PS4, any 7th gen advantages MS had are long gone, so this news isn't the best right now. Have they completely lost - no, not at all, but the fight will be much tougher this go around.

Even I see they will not outsell the PS4. Now, the Xbox fan agenda is beating the Wiiu for 2nd, and hoping the X1 makes a profit, so essentially everybody wins (except Nintendo :P)

Even with the Xbox360 being my favorite home console in the past generation, I was not planning on getting a Xbxo One. I know a few who want to get one though, and this sucks for everyone who was looking forward to those One games under the christmas tree...

If you talking about twitter support, you clearly don't need to care them, they're not even PRs

It just same as 360

Loads of countries doesn't have official XBL support, but who told you not support=ip blocked? At least people in China can go XBL normally, don't need VPN or something
