It's over, Xbone. MS just handed it to Sony bigtime.

If anyone from Switzerland is reading this thread (do we even have users from Switzerland?) - I'm pretty sure Barozi will export some Xbones to you

EDIT: Disregard, the marketplace is IP-locked >:{

Marketplace won't be IP-locked,but some games will some games not, depands on publisher

this confirms the marketplace is regionlocked

Sorry but no,check back what i said in this thread few hours ago, twitter support know nothing more than us according to past few months ago's news, even most people in gaf already know that

This is just same as 360,people can go marketplace normally because it won't be ip blocked, but hard to say can buy games or not

It's funny that you "care" Xbox One so much and still don't know this,or maybe you act like you don't know this

It would be sad if you cant go to marketplace or buy games/dlc from it.

There many games/service in PSN also ip blocked, but it's not MS/Sony's problem mostly,it's control by publishers, they choose allow it or not

Like i never able to buy Football Manager or total war series in steam because SEGA blocked my country's(and most east asia countries) ip and i don't even know why,but i won't say it's Valve's fault

the impact of this isn't that big:

percentage of potential customers of world population
17,11%

14,22%

as you can see, the changes affected only ~3 percent of the world population or ~205 million people who now won't be able to get a xbox the same date as the others. but that's a decrease of 16,8 percent from the original value.

when you look at the numbers, the main part of the population which now gets cut out is russia - and i don't think the russian console market is somewhere near relevant.

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

I live in Switzerland and although I don't give a shit since I wasn't planning to buy an X1 at launch, it's funny to me why we got cut out due to "translating dashboard and Kinect" since all 3 official languages here (German, French, Italian) will be available this holiday in Germany, France and Italy.

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

Do the same thing but don't base it on populations, base it on GDP, you'll get a largely different picture. I'm sure the amount of people who can afford an Xbone in Mexico is potentially smaller than those who can afford on in Netherlands, regardless of population.

Hmm, pie.

This must be because of the Euro, I think. Stupid really as a credit card is a credit card and charges in the correct sum regardless where you are buying stuff from.

Damn...

Well, i guess more money to spend for the games at launch when.

Sony beats Microsoft in global sales(new gen) without even trying confirmed again.

Go Team Venture! I still don't get the Wii, PS Move,  and Kinect.
