good to see everyone's having fun again :)

The game looks awesome and is the main game that makes me want to buy an X1 at this point.
I don't get why they talk like all the mo-cap stuff is revolutionary though. This stuff was brought in at the start of this gen; the stuff they're doing in Ryse is simply an evolution of that.

There's a difference between wanting and expecting. No gamer wants any game to be bad, except for the poor gamers who don't want to feel that they missed out on something great. But some people are expecting it to be bad, as someone expects for any and every game, if only to keep expectations down. |
HAHA!
WRONG! Every single PS gamer wants that thing to turn out bad.

I don't know if they said it was revolutionary but since we are on the topic, any thing that has improved upon something is an evolution no matter how big or small.
EDIT: i see you already stated that in the 2nd sentence ;)

Except for the poor gamers who don't want to feel that they missed out on something great. Fanboyism isn't a war, it's a defense mechanism. Used by people to convince themselves that their product is superior in every way and that they didn't miss out on anything. Perhaps they truly feel they didn't miss out on anything or perhaps they feel they're too poor to feel a large expense is worth it. Either way, fanboyism has a reason. Everything happens for a reason. Even if we didn't like the reason or even if we can't make sense of it. I don't see how "Every single PS gamer" wants this game to be bad. It doesn't legitimately help them in any way. |
Did you see that little tongue sticking out at you?
Agree with the defnse mechanism theory though. But I would wager that there's more to it than only that.

Got to agree, but it does seem like the most impressive next-gen launch game |
Thats the point, its not next gen, its the last of the current gen playable on a next gen console. Same goes for Assassins Creed 4.

Watch_Dogs is a next-gen game ported back, ACIV is a current gen game ported forward
Let's not forget these are basically all ported PC games on next-gen

GTA5 is larger and more hardware intensive than Watchdogs. I loved Watching videos and seeing blocked off areas in the sequences. Watchdogs is not next gen. Watch Dogs and Assassins Creed are some of the worst looking games coming to next gen consoles.

inFamous Second Son aside, Watch_Dogs is the best looking open world game. I certainly think so, but we won't really be sure until they actually come out

InFamous, Witcher 3 so far are the best looking third person open world games. I was amazed by Watchdogs when it first was revealed, but when the other next gen games were shown it wasn't so impressive anymore. I'll admit there was a time when I thought Watchdogs was our first glimpse at next gen, but boy was I wrong.
