Lets be honest, FF support is probably at its weakest that its ever been at right now with the latest entries being dissapointments and support for KH is pretty high with anticipation toward the third title and people will buy 1.5 KH Remix to scratch that itch they have for the series.

As far as Im aware there is only one HD Remastered series that has reached 1m and that was the first HD remastered game which is God of War. 

Remakes on the other hand that has more effort put in them like Halo Anniversary and Ocarina of Time where you can see big differences both has sold multimillions.

How exactly is WWHD different from FFX HD?

Wind Waker is an overhauled remake that makes it look like a present day game.  It will have much more advertising, be around much longer, and much more importantly it is on a new console that will have a higher attach ratio.

It is also noteworthy that many of these remastered games are limited.  Metal Gear Solid Collection was a good example of that.  It was extremely limited.

No doubt, I think FF XV will be one of the best selling games of next gen, it looks amazing and for KH3 you need to play the rest of the games to understand the story so there will be that barrier for people new to the series, something that will not be there for the HD collections.

Well i can tell you, you are wrong ff fans are anticipated this just as much as kh fans. Besides ff fans will get a new exclusive content (30 minutes audio drama), that's not the case for KH.

If you wanna get technical you could mention that both HD collections include 2 games, but KH 1.5 HD Remix includes 2 and a half hours of cutscenes from another game, 358/2 days, that more than makes up for the audio thing your talking about.

The 358/2 days scenes are nothing new.

The audio drama is totally new, that's the point.

Hmmm, I'm not so sure about that. It really depends on the sustained popularity + any new comers the game will bring.  In my opinion, that's going to be a huge variable here.  

However, it is hard for me to say if WW HD or FFX/X-2 HD will be on top.  Too many things to think about, not enough to go on.
