Forums - Nintendo - Who Said Games Dont Go Up YoY? Well Congratulations to...

Wat games in 2013 will go up guys? No new region releases count obviously

Around the Network

If I'm not mistaken MKWii did it as well, but congrats to Kirby it's a great game and it really deserves it.

There was a thread about this game's absurd American sales not that long ago...
The conclusion drawn was that the price was cut to a level casuals couldn't ignore...

Have a nice day...

GT5

2011 2,159,775
2012 2,427,208

GTAIV goes Up YoY too... there are a lot of games.

Don't rain on Tbone's parade. That's just mean.

OT: Kirby's Epic Yarn is still selling... at all? I'm pleased.

Global Annual Summary (Units)

YearYearlyChangeTotal
2010 5,210,473 N/A 5,210,473
2011 2,159,775 -58.5% 7,370,248
2012 2,427,208 12.4% 9,797,456
2013 702,077 -71.1% 10,499,533

I going to take a wild guess and say GT5

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

there are many games that went up YoY.
Like GTA IV on ps3 went up 100k from '09 to '10.
360 version did the same but from '10 to '11.
And I bet dozen other games did it

Year Yearly Change Total
2008 13,240,596 N/A 13,240,596
2009 7,421,142 -44.0% 20,661,738
2010 5,196,913 -30.0% 25,858,651
2011 5,344,655 2.8% 31,203,306
2012 2,079,046 -61.1% 33,282,352
2013 575,113 -72.3% 33,857,465

That is MKwii, I'm not sure if it's due to bundles or not, and what makes the increase so incredible is that the year prior it sold so much, but as I said congrats to Kirby it deserves it.

KIRBY'S EPIC YARN! F*** Yeah B****es!!!! lmao

Its Very Common for games to go down YoY especially when there over 2 years old (not counting different region releases), but one game proved that it can, and in fact not even in 8 months and w/o Holiday! Its sales are really coming from US, but non the less its doing great!

↓↓↓ Sales List in Years of Debut ↓↓↓

2010 ⇒ 1,004,449
2011 ⇒ 590,875
2012 ⇒ 277,094
2013 ⇒ 277,195 ←←←

Up by 101 copies! Can any other old game go up YoY? Discuss and give your applause for Kirby God Damn It >:(

Wattttttttt?????

Cool, but I'm sure there are more examples, particularly in the DS (and maybe Wii) line of evergreen titles. Those just keep on selling tons years after release.
