Its Very Common for games to go down YoY especially when there over 2 years old (not counting different region releases), but one game proved that it can, and in fact not even in 8 months and w/o Holiday! Its sales are really coming from US, but non the less its doing great!

This has happened many times before with Nintendo games, and also occasionally with others. It's not at all unusual, really.

The most impressive case I know of is Mario Kart DS. Year 4 is the biggest, and year 6 is the second highest. Super Mario 64 DS is another, where year 3<Year4<Year5

Props to Kirby for showing once again, why outside of Mario and the Zelda games, he is one of Nintendo's top franchises that hits nearly every system more then twice a generation.
