I think the game got overshadowed by Heavy Rain, that may have been 1 reason why it didn't sell as well as people would have liked.

I never 100% my games because that would give me no reason to ever go back and play them. It's not because i suck. IT'S NOT!

Nice I almost got all the achievements for the first DLC just missing one. Still need to replay the main game since I miss a lot of the achievements.

True, true, but they can still be tricky.  Like there was one, near an outhouse, that I could see, but had gone on too much so I couldn't get back to it.  Had to play the enter level over again to get to the step before to find it  And on Nightmare level when baddies are chasing you. 

But when I had finished playing through, a few times, and still had two Coffee Thermoses missing.  I really had no clue.   Tried to think of where they might be and looked online.

But the achievements still seem more possible than some of the Halo ones.  Like 'Kill all the bad guys with this one gun and never use any other weapon in 90 minutes or less.'  Some of those I just go, "I'm not even going to try. "  (Yes, I am exaggerating, but I think you know what I mean.)

Good luck on it.  Too bad we can't coop on the game.



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

What over shadowed this game was Red Dead Redemption. It released on the same day.

I don't know about Catherine, but Alan Wake is one of the most pirated games - more people pirate it than purchased it according to VGC numbers.  Reports that over two million people have pirated it. :)  Not sure how that happened, but they even made a thing where Wake wears a pirate eye patch if it's bootlegged.  It is a shame too, because if that many people purchased the game, there would surly be more games like it.

And we would have the sequel too!

Pirating does not an underrated game make. Halo has been pirated, the Witcher has been pirated. Piracy shows demand even if it doesnt always lead to a sale. I am talking about a game that couldnt reach a million on two platforms. Alan Wake was a good game, not one of my favorites of all time, but it was good. I will probably review in all it after I play the DLC from my Steam bundle. Catherine is a game that challenged me and gave me something different to tackle, being a Japanese game made by Altus...whom is up for grabs to the highest bidder right now. Thats underrated and so was the PR for the game.
