There were some localization announcements, new eShop titles announced, and (as they said) details of previously announced games.  Which is better than I expected.

Not at all. I love the Layton games so was very happy to see them confirmed and fine with the wait as have too many games to buy this year anyways.

Wow this Nintendo Direct was disappointing. the only really good thing was Phoenix Wright VS Proffesor Layton. :/

i thought rayman was coming out in september, coming at the end of this month. That is a suprise

This convinced me to buy a Wii U.

was nice to see sonic and am glad that those Layton games are finally coming out of Japan but I kind of wished they showed more Wii U games. I kind of want to know the prices on those pokemon figures lol.

I am not disappointed because I was expecting way less. Although I was hoping they would show more of Super Mario 3D World, they did announce some pretty good news.

Layton Vs Wright did look pretty awesome, and I've never played a game from either series.

On the whole, this was more or less what I was expecting. I was impressed by most of what I saw, but it's also not my cup of tea. Looks to be time to get a 3DS, though, for sure.

I think next ND should be better. This was just highlighting the next 2 months. There's gonna be a huge ND before the holdiays for:

1. Pokemon

2. Wii U titles

3. Release dates

4. Possibly new announcements.
