Not unless they stripped it down some how. 550 or 575 would be the price with little to no loss. The parts must be getting cheaper by now.

$500 is too low, they'd be loosing a lot of money.

$600 (including PS+) is more realistic, but I'm not sure sony would want the $600 label attached to the ps4 in any shape or form at launch.

Yeah but then again if they do maybe Nintendo will sell the wiiU deluxe with a 3dsXL for 399$ with Pokemon x/y or smash bros double pack in. Anyway it will help the hardware out for vita but will it help the software side that much ? Would it come with built in memory or a memory card? Is it the 3G version? To many questions. Plus Sony is finally profitable again would they go back into the red For this?

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the Japanese get around about $100 price cut? $250-$100 -$50 for the bundle saving would be close, even if the vita only gets a $50 price drop, a bundle like this for $500-550 doesn't sound too far fetched

The Vita's sales have been just bad enough that I have to wonder if they've thought about closing the factory line down until there are more sales, and closing or restarting a factory line ISN'T CHEAP. The Wii U, by contrast, has had a worse, but much shorter sales drought.

A bundle like this might translate to bleeding out money to the consumers like crazy, but if it's that or shutting the line down for a few months? It's a major loss one way or the other, but at least the one has a chance of turning a profit long-term and won't involve firing temp employees only to hire them again in a few months.

Still not likely. Vita sales are up just enough that a factory going dark is not going to happen.

Then people will say the Vita is selling because it's being bundled with a PS4.

I could see a $600 PS4/Vita Bundle (and maybe Eye, depending on how much Sony cuts the price of the Vita in the future), but not for $500. I'm personally waiting for the western price cut for the Vita before I'm more willing to purchase it (there are several games that I want to play on it already). It's a nice piece of hardware that is just a bit too expensive at the moment.
