Anyway, if you ppl like it more:

Let's say 100.000 more weekly PS3 sold, to close the gap:

 7.060.000 / 100.000 = 70.6 Weeks

 70.6 x 7 = 494.2 Days

 494.2 / 365 = 1.353972603 Years

It will take 1 year and 3 months! Ahhhh.... Wait! What's going to happen in 1/2 years?

 Ah! I remember now! 360 Will be blowing 4/5 candles and a new console it's just around the corner!

 Now what SONY?  What's going to happen to your 10 years lifecicle?

The assumption that the percentage increase is stable is wrong. For instance during XMas the gap might increase to 100K per week and when big titles are launched there will be big spikes.

everybody's acting like PS3 will have a bunch of great games and price drops to help boost PS3 sales while the 360 will have nothing for the rest of its lifespan. Keep in mind, if and when PS3 sales DO boost, you can bet MS will make sure 360 keeps up with it with price drops of their own, more AAA titles, etc. To claim that PS3 will pass 360 by 2009 is having a little too much faith that PS3 sales will skyrocket if you ask me. Not only do I not believe that PS3 won't pass 360 in 2009, I doubt that it'll EVER reach 360's sales. It'll narrow the gap, yes, but 360 will keep chugging along and will keep it ahead of PS3 by a couple million when it's all said and done.

It all comes down to Europe, if MS can manage some drastics price cuts and bring the momentum back up then maybe the 360 can manage its lead for the rest of the generation.. If anything we will have a clearer picture at the end of this year.

 I don't think price drops are going to do it, most 360s are still cheaper than the PS3 by quite a bit (in UK Premium is £50 less than 40GB)
