Forums - Nintendo - Congratulations. You're in charge of Nintendo. Now what?

-Fire Iwata and Reggie
-(unrealisticly) Bring back the GameCube design and keep the Wii as a casual device.
-Visit third parties companies and try to see what they want in a console, what they think of our new GameCube re-design etc.
-Try to make a deal with American developers to create new games that will appeal to the American and UK audiences.
-Improve the eshop by making the full digital games ten dollars cheaper compare to the retail version to make it look more appealing on our console
-Try to have sales on the eshop, like holidays for example.
-( Personally )Try to fine a way to appeal to both kids and adults, thus ending the Wii brand.....yeah :T
-Link the 3DS with my new console.

and that's all I can think of at the moment, but I'll be sure to have more ideas soon. Please understand.....

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

Here a little quote I want for those to keep memorize in your head for this coming next gen.

Forceably make the Japanese branch in understanding that American standards in online are different to theirs. And incorporate a proper online system. So 3rd parties can't go "no one plays online on Nintendo systems". Another big one is to gamble with that huge stack of money they got with Wii. And use it to get games like GTA V on the system. Not exclusive. But get the game and some perks. Like a Link skin or something. Include a 500GB HDD in a bundle. And allow more colors. 'Cause Nintendo seriously sucks in the color options. This is just some of my ideas.

If it's not already happening - fast track a replacement for WiiU. Make it powerful enough to get all PS4/XB1 ports (could be weaker but close enough that any game could be ported). Push Smash Bros and Zelda WiiU back to Wii3 launch. Yeah, I know WiiU owners will hate me but they'll buy Wii3 anyway.

Buy out western company with strong internet infrastructure, complimentary but differing Ip's and high quality, polished products. Crytek maybe (get a TimeSplitters game out).

Buy Capcom for same reasons.

Put classic Nintendo titles on iOS/Android. Look, let's face facts, they are already on there, Nintendo might as well make some money off them.

Put GC/Wii games on eshop.

Have Retro create a Smash Bros FPS (paintball?) and then maybe Starfox reboot.

Get a Pokemon MMO developed.

Make the new home console focused on family/friends gameplay and return to accessible controller. Basically a cross between a pro controller and a wiimote/nunchuk. So only one controller is ever needed for any game. Focus on games that mobile CAN'T do and Sony/MS WON'T do.

Make the system an ideal home for independents where they can actually make $$.

Have all games peer-reviewed (like Amazon/iOS/Google Play) so any casual can determine gold from crap easily.

Launch new system with steady flow of games.

Keep 3DS as is for now.

Have Samus wake up from the bad dream of Other M and have another adventure (with online co-op and multiplayer)

Make new Ice Climbers and Balloon Flight games (even if just for eshop).

The Wii U can already handle those -.-

personally, i wouldn't like it if they abandoned the WiiU. it'd alien all of their core fans (me included) if they did that, just like Sega did. and if the whole thing is unsuccesful and the 3rd parties won't jump on board (which I'm sure they won't), who'd keep the system afloat? they'd kill their home console business.

So, the forum of VGC has officially become a bad copy of GAF?

expand their development teams. seriously, if Nintendo can do all these great games and have them 99% polished with no glitches whatsoever, imagine what they could do if they hired more than the current 5000 employees. Ubisoft is bigger than Nintendo XD

Throwing more people on a task, does not help for every sort of problem. Programming in general and arts are such problems. Games combine programming and arts. A game-dev-team is a fragile thing - it can produce great games, but if some people leave, the team gets too big, some outside-variables change the team can become instantly unproductive or the games become bad. It is a difficult task to grow a team while keeping it good at these things.

I would keep the japanese game-studios (EAD) in place and grow them slowly. But I would invest into NOE and NOA to have them build their own game-studios. Starting with small games they could develop games more for the western market. Obviously a long term investment, it will have no big result this gen.

I have been dreaming of sharing my fantasies of this forever. HERE WE GO.
1. Buy Atlus, Platinum Games, and Sega.
2. Buy Megaman from Capcom and make Megaman Legends 3.
3. Buy back Rare and have them make a new Conker, Banjo & Kazooie, and Killer Instinct
4. Buy Rockstar games and have GTA and Red Dead as exclusives.

Fuck it, just buy every third party company.

Simple: hire Kaz as CEO and let the gifs do everything.

well, those points make sense except the last one XD

also, i don't think they should buy Rare, none of the old employees remained there, i think buying the Banjo,Conker and KI IPs and letting Retro develop them is a better idea.
