Forums - Gaming - Am I the only one who is kind of sad that all the next gen systems will soon be out?

I'm sad because I've invested so much in my PS3 and Xbox 360. HUNDREDS of games between the two. I don't evenhave room under my TV for the new consoles. At least the Wii U is backwards compatible. I've just spend days playing The Last Story and loving it. I don't exactly want to turn my back on my 7th Gen games just yet.

Wha? How did you manage to finish all of those (did you?) ?

Don't worry, I'm sure we'll be in for at least 5 more years of bickering over how much powaaaah every goddamn system has.

Well, since the Wii U has such strange guts, I am sure it will change constantly. When Nintendo puts every corner to use and makes a game look like a PS4 game, people will bring it up again.

And then MS opens up a new server farm and it's powah of da cloud!

And the PS4, uh, records some gameplay and it's powah of Youtube!

Nope. Probably didn't finish half of them.  Heck, there are Xbox 1 and PS2 games I want to go back and finish (Jade Empire, for example) that I bought just because I had backwards compatible software.  Out of probably 200 360 games, maybe 60 PS3 games, and maybe 50 Wii games, I may have finished 1/3 of them.  Too many great deals and not enough time, i guess.  I'd play some of them on a PS4/XBO if I had the option.  I already play a ton of PSP games on my Vita and a .ot of DS games on my 3DS.  I already mentioned that The Last Story currently dominates my Wii U.

Actually this is the part i like best. We get to be impressed with games instead of glorified tech demos.

I think the past few years have been boring. The most exciting and active part of a generation is when it begins. end of 2013-2016 are going to be exciting as hell.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

I'm sad because I'm not done with the games from this gen.

No. First few years of a console's life cycle are the best.

PS4 coulda gone 10 year like they said, but I guess consumers are just impatient or something

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

I think you mean PS3. It'll likely be around for a few more years.  Remember the PS1 came out in '95 and the PS2 came out in 2000 with the PS3 finally releasing in 2006.  Just because the new system is released doesn't mean the old one dies.   Sony's been really good about keeping their hardware alive longer than the traditional 5 or 6 years.
