The next gen consoles are LONG overdue. When I bought Xbox 360 back in April 2008, I was under the impression that it was halfway through its life cycle. I assumed that the neXtBOX would be revealed by the end of 2009. I was way off.

Everyone's missing the point. I understand where you're coming from. Starting a new generation is exciting. It's like the excitement of Christmas versus just having all the presents after that. Of course it's nice to finally have the systems and play them, but the buzz of new ones is something special. And is there anything like that warm fuzzy feeling you get playing a new system for the first few weeks/months? (It may not have a lot of games yet, but my Wii U was fun to just experience for a good long while.)

I am happy. But it has just been so exciting over the past few years.

First we had the 3DS launch. Then it was all about the 3DS failing, then it came back and amazed everyone. Then the vita was coming, then it did bad.

Then the Wii U came and did bad. Plus the build up to these systems.

Then the PS4 and Xbone were announced and all the crazy that ensued. All this craziness will be over when these last two come out..

3DS.... critics said...and vgcharts users....

it will fail because:

no second analog

mediocre specs

its a gimmick

a better spec console will come out (vita)

mario is a tired IP

vita.... critics said.... and vgcharts users......

it will be a success because:

it has a second analog

specs is much better versus 3ds

a handheld for gamers

it runs HD

and it can compete with home console games...
