I say if RE reboots, it should be with movie timeline and Milla.

Yeah, I know lot of people will bitch and moan about it, but RE is not what it used to be for way too long now, so if they're gonna change it, they might as well connect it to movies, and make some completely new survival-horror IP instead of this water-downed bollocks they've been serving us for so long.

Just hurry up & give us REmake 2 Capcom. (or finish RE 1.5 and release it on XBLA/eShop/psn)

OT: If anything, they should continue with how they made Revelations. That game was done quite well, and it was even on a HandHeld system which many people seem to give flack.

No it doesn't. If Capcom reboots the series then they'll screw it up even more by making it a complete action game. They need to make more games like Revelations.

Outbreak.  Resident Evil Outbreak and Outbreak 2 are somewhat of reboots of the series.  They don't include any of the main characters from prior games, they show the events of the outbreak through the viewpoint of a different group of survivors.  While Resident Evil 4 was 99.9% a shooting game, the Outbreak series is the true evolution of the franchise.  The games are great, the only problem with them is the ridiculously long load times and certain adlibs would freeze the game.

If Capcom could reinvent the Resident Evil series into more of Outbreak style and turn it survival, so include the ability to use anything the players find, and give it the different scenarios so it's like Outbreak or Left 4 Dead, that way they can focus on the story just being about survival and players can take their own path, or complete the objectives in any order to reach the exit.

While they're at it, they should reboot the movies too. I love watching them, they're a guilty pleasure with hot chicks shooting guns, but the story doesn't make any goddamn sense.

Capcom's games (excluding one or two) have been pretty bad recently. I'm personally fed up with the series. If Capcom wanted to make Gears of War, then make Gears of War and call it something else.

If they want to make Resident Evil, do it properly. I was done with that series after how shit RE5 was. A really disgrace to the game that came before it.

id say, just remake 2,3, like they remade the 1st on the gamecube, same camera and game style, few added extras, quit it with the action bull sh** they have now

For a disgrace, RE5 was the best sellinh entry in the series.

I have a theory that that was because of the setting anf the hot leads. I enjoyed it, and i think RE4 is overhyped. It was the only mainline RE game i couldnt get into. Between all those traps in the ground and having to babysit an idiot girl i just couldnt play it anymore.
