Lol ikr, the "PS4 sold more 3rd parties because X1 sold more 1st and 2nd parties" is just lousy.

Not too interested in Thief, might rent it after seeing some reviews though.

Same, it'll probably be a rental for me. Too many other games coming out this year to spend $60 on it.

Yeah pretty much, only spending $60 on games I'll spend more than 50 hours in or for Devs that really deserve it

Yeah, pretty much the same for me, the only confirmed 2014 games that I know I'm going to buy at release for $60 are Titanfall, Halo, The Elder Scrolls Online, and Destiny, (all of which I'm sure I'll get at least 100 hours out of). Fable Legends, Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive, and Tom Clancy's The Division are possibilities, but I'll need to hear more details and see some gameplay for all 3. Forza Horizon 2 isn't exactly confirmed yet, but it seems likely and I'll definitely get it at release since It's sure to have at least 50 hours of gameplay. I used to get Assasssin's Creed games at release, but they usually only last about 25 hours since I'm not into the multiplayer, so I'll probably only get this next one at release if it's a historical setting that I've been wanting for awhile (namely Feudal Japan or Victorian London). The rest of the 10 or so confirmed 2014 full priced games that I'm interested in getting will probably be rentals, which I may buy later when they're on sale if they have some replayability.

Sounds like a good plan, they need to really get parties fixed before Titanfall, or at least semi-fixed.

My Xbox One arrived this evening. Can't wait to hook it up and start playing! It feels good to have joined the current generation of home console gaming :)

I've been perusing sales data looking at how well previous consoles sold when they released in new countries just to see how well the Xbox One could sell if Microsoft decides to release in more countries around Titanfall's release. The results are interesting.

In a span of 10 weeks between early March and mid May, the Xbox 360 released in 6 new markets (Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, and New Guinea) and 2 big games released, The Elder Scrolls IV and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, as well as several smaller games. The 360's sales went up by 222% at the highest point and 70% on average, selling 1.039m consoles during those 10 weeks.

In a span of 10 weeks between early March and mid May, the PS3 released in 49 countries (pretty much all of Europe plus Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, India, Australia and New Zealand) and 1 big + 2 moderate games released, MotorStorm + The Elder Scrolls IV and F.E.A.R., as well as several smaller games. The PS3's sales went up by over 764% at the highest point and 79% on average, selling 1.42 million consoles during those 10 weeks.

Titanfall releases near the beginning of that exact same span of 10 weeks from early March to mid May and it's likely going to be be a bigger seller than any of those titles that released on the 360 and PS3 during that same time period. Couple that with releases in more countries and I could see the Xbox One selling 2 million during that same 10 week time period.

Nice synopsis! It will be interesting to see if MS decides to release the X1 in any other countries this spring.

wow 25% of people who voted think the X1 will only sell 5 million units or lower. Thats crazy predictions considering the sales over the holiday period. The console still needs to release in some countries.

I went with 13 million. That means that it will need to sell 10 million units for the year which is easily doable.

That will be 3 - 4 million over the November - December holiday period. And about 5 - 7 million leading up to the holiday.

I guess the 10% who voted for 5 million were obviously trolling :?

They would proably vote lower if they could.  Remember the PS4 has to outsell the Xbox by 3 or more to one.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

I voted 9 million. I could see it doing 11 million but i went with 9 million for the low end.

As for people voting 5m it isnt the first time weve had polls in this thread ending up like this, if anybody remembers the poll about xbo launch where people were predicting lower than confirmed numbers.

I put 5m in the poll on purpose because i like to see how many people visit this thread xD We have over 1000 visitors here daily so im sure its not only people who like xbox lol

As you guys know, on the internet its the cool thing to hate on xbox xD No worries, XBO has been a great console thus far regardless of what some people may want you to believe.

To be fair this is the first time the lowest option has been crazy. The other times it actually ended up really close to the actual value.

I've predicted 8 million for the sake of predictions and what not, but I'm really feeling like I'll be on the lower end of things. As you can see in my sig the XBONE isn't dropping as fast as I expected so that brings to question all my other predictions about the system. Right now today I'm feeling like 10 million sounds pretty good. It could certainly be winning America by a significant amount by then. Plus based off the beta Titanfall seems to be matching the hype.

Nice! =D What games you got? Or are going to get?

I'm going to start off with the free Killer Instinct and the KS:R Preseason.  I have essentially no experience playing fighting games, so I'm hoping that the KI Dojo Mode will help me learn the mechanics; if I can get a hold of them, I'll buy the full Season 1.

All depends if MS do the right thing (business wise) and cut the price $100 along with Halo in September.
