Don't mind MS waiting until E3 for a blow out tbh.

But yeah, I hope MS are making more deals now and thinking about Q1/Q2 2016. Fallout 4, Prince of Persia, Mirrors Edge 2. Loads of games they could grab.

I prefer it personally.  Gamescom + E3 > than other events.  The reason is because new reveals and all the hype.  For the most part i see Nintendo Direct and now PSE which was a one time thing as showing trailers of games already announced aexcept the rare announcements that happens.  But yeah, the majority of the big announcements or megaton (even though i hate that word) are at E3 and Gamescom

Indeed. Just want MS to have a stupidly big E3 this coming year.

So despite XB1 being overtracked 200k in the US, how do we feel it'll do LTD by the end of 2015 now?

I think we're looking at 6m - 6.2m in the US, ROTA 600k~, 1.6m in the UK (total 8.4m) and god knows what else ww.

Americas + UK should see at least 8.8m sell through tho.

12m WW is definitely achieveable.

Hard to say.  Usually december is much bigger than Novemebr so your looking at 11M+ from the looks of things which shatters my max prediction on the year

I'd be happy with 11m plus but I feel 12m would be a real feat for XB1. (and means 9m shipped this year)

Been trying to get that stupid 4th disc of Lost Odyssey to work today. Thanks to internet tips I tried pouring hot water on it but that didn't work, so in the end I just chucked it into a pot of boiling water and..... it burned my house down

Nah, it actually worked! :D

lol, what I way to make such a thing work. But yeah, I heard disc 4 was full of problems.

So Phil just tweeted that he doesn't see an Xbox One event happening before E3. That kind of sucks, so hopefully they plan to go all out at E3, they definitely need to announce a big 3rd party exclusive there, Fallout 4 would be huge.

That would be epic. How much do you think Fallout 4 exclusivity would cost?

Hard to say really. Fallout games sold better on Xbox 360 than on PS3 last gen, so it likely wouldn't cost MS as much as it would cost Sony. I believe Fallout 3 sold 3.48m physical on PS3, probably another 500k digital, and PS4 is more popular than PS3 was, so they'd need to compensate Bethesda for about 4.5-5m sales I'm guessing. Alot of those copies of Fallout 3 that have been sold were later in it's life once Bethsda was selling the GOTY edition for $20 or less though, plus you have to factor in printing costs for the cases and discs and the retailers' cut of the profits so I'm guessing the average profit for those 4.5m-5m copies would have been about $25 per copy, so that comes out to $112m-$125m. Plus they'd need to compensate them for lost standalone DLC sales, so I'm going to say $150m. That's just a rough guesstimate of how much Fallout 4 would cost MS. Obviously it would need to be Xbox One/PC release though or MS would have to pay even more to compensate for the lost PC sales as well, and besides, MS is trying to be more PC gaming friendly so I doubt they'd want to take the game away from PC anyway, that would really piss off their PC gaming fanbase.

Why do you want any more third-party exclusives? We had enough of this shit already.

10.5 million to 11 million sold through with 12 million shipped is acheivable.

Can't believe how quickly MS turned this ship around.

Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287

Anyway, that tweet saying no event before E3 also teases how he likes the psx idea.
Last week he said having a strong E3 and GC were important, now he gives me the impression of wanting to do something similar.
