Kinda need one for Retro gaming. (GC mostly, Wii at times)

Like a 16:9 flatscreen CRT TV capable of 480p and all that.

Any ideas?

You can see quite a few at flea markets, that I know.
Do you have component cables for GC that you need 480p? I'd rather opt for a regular CRT TV, not flatscreen or 16:9.. the older kind support the older games best. Flatscreens also gave me issues with lightgun games, and those are fun with a friend. You might get into it sometime.

So 480p would suit me best. Wide screen for progressive mode on certain games.

Lucky! I play my GC games on my Wii mostly, since component is so damn expensive for the GC. Good luck in your search.

Apparently, I have to get a Sony Wega or Trinitron huh.

I used to have one TV for high def gaming and another for retro gaming, but my current Samsung 40inch TV has good upscaling from standard def and I found that lowering the sharpness to about 20% actually gave me a better picture than my native 480 TV for standard def games and movies. Just something to think about.

Fun fact:

There are 1080i/720p Trinitrons in existence. As far as I've heard, they perform very well with SD content. Heck, you could even get modern and fresh TV's to cooperate, but it's a tedious and expensive process.

I think it would be safer to go the 480p route.

Good ones are hard to find. My brother found one that can output 480p at a second hand shop and I'm jealous even though I have a proper HDTV at my place. All the old school games look way better on it.

I know this doesn't really help, I just wanted to share my enthusiasm for a good CRT TV.
