The case is crisp clear, it was self defence against a very violent man. I can't understand how anyone can defend Trayvon. He punched and mauled Zimmerman.

I don't think so, regarding the race-baiting. Much as we like to try to claim that we're in some sort of post-racial society, Florida clearly has a fair bit of racial bias in play when it comes to "justifiable homicide," (as the flow of statistics regarding Stand Your Ground have demonstrated).
I still don't think it was justifiable, though like many cases that should have gone the other way, it was mis-handled by the prosecution.

yes, its called assault, you are allowed to defend yourself from that.
at what point in the beating would you have permitted zimmerman to use lethal force?
Should he have waited until his face was completely fractured, he was spitting up his own teeth, the skin on the back of his head torn, and rubbed raw to the bone?
at what point should he have been allowed to defend himself. for most people, with common sense, you can defend yourself the moment the assault begins.
i know if i ever get assaulted, im not waiting until im bloody and broken to defend myself, im shooting him as soon as he attacks me. if i wait, it may very well be to late.

Pretend you are being wrestled to the ground by a full grown man, lying defenseless on your back in the grass while being punched in your face and getting your backhead smacked into the ground.
You wouldn't grab your gun and try to shoot? You would just lie there helplessly and wait until you were punched into unconsciousness?

Lol how about the 28 year old 180-200 pound guy defend himself using his fists, wtf is wrong with that, work for me when i was in high school and had to get shit done, Americans can't wait for a reason to shoot shit up you get a good idea about that from watching how your cops act
