I trust Sony, they design great consoles and making hardware is Sony's speciality

Post-PS3, it's a bit easier to trust Sony, but PS1 and PS2 had serious growing pains, so there could be some here, too.

Look at what the rest of Sony has produced recently, the XPERIA Z, XPERIA tablet Z and Vaio Pro, all beautiful and powerful

Sony will deliver!

50/50

Not into their tablets/smartphones or vaio's :P I prefer el cheapo brands for all of those. Both of the xperia's are also simple internally, anyway. (I know you prob. sarcastic)

The PS4 isn't complex either, it is a computer stuffed in a small space, the same principles apple

The PS3 GENERALLY worked great, the fail percentage was within reasonable limits. It certainly didn't suffer from any fundamental design flaws

True. But you never know.  It's still amazing to me that they managed to pack the hardware+PSU into a container smaller than the XB1, while being a lot more powerful.

It is impressive, the PS3 slim was still huge, especially compres to the 360 S

The vents arent just at the back, theyre also in the middle of the console around the sides.

In all honesty, with the size of the machine I fully expected a power brick. If the launch consoles have heat problems, then I expect them to release a new SKU that comes with a brick.

One of the reasons why I aint getting one at launch really.

I'm amazed as well. Not sure if the Xbone will have any heating problems because its so big.

It's so big+has an external PSU to rule them all out, I'd say.
