Forums - Nintendo - Asda Selling Wii U Basic For £149.99 And Wii U Premium For £199.99

The second time ASDA is doing this ?
Sounds like they didn't want to just get rid of the inventory back then or else this sale wouldn't make much sense.

Does anyone buy the WiiU at full price anymore?

Between things like this and stores bundling games for the holidays I really don't see Ninty doing an official price drop this year.

Since it sells better in the US and Japan, I would say the majority buy it at full price or at least close to full price.

That's good. So there is some hope for a price cut to have some effect when games arrive this Holiday.

Let's be honest...it's selling like CRAP.

If Nintendo isn't panicing, they damn well should be.  These are supposed to be the months when their hardware challenged console is suppoised to be building a nice lead on the compeitition.  Instead it's turning into the months where Nintendo loses its frigging shirt on hardware sales.

Makes you wonder how many games Nintendo needs to sell to make up for a 199/299 box at this moment in it's lifetime.

Last week.  If that's not making Nintendo executives to pucker up, then nothing will.
