This phone looks odd to me. The 808 design was better. I got my GF a 920. For my needs, in what I need in a phone, WP still lacks in features. I like WM better, which Android mimicked. I used to use a Samsung Focus. Switched to a Lumia 620 just to mess around with WP8. Then switched to an HTC One. I'll be holding off on getting a high end WP until the OS matures a bit more. Android isn't the most intuative OS. I do prefer WP design, fluidity and ease of use over Android, but I need my porn downloads and fansub torrents. WP current lockdown on the file system is what's holding it back. It needs a proper file manager. Once that is remedied, I won't need Android anymore.

About the camera, that is Windows Phone's most prominent feature. Being able to take pics with a dedicated camera button. This makes it very easy to take perv shots, while acting like you are talking on your phone. This is the feature I sorely miss on my HTC One. :P

@dis: The fact that the phone is growing in market share lends to my point about having a lack of market share to begin with initially. It is good to see that it is growing in some key demographic regions, but I didn't see any numerical data to help support the claims just a MS blog post referencing the growth. (not saying I don't believe the claims, but I like numbers :-p ) Thank you for posting that last link though (about continued support) as that I did not know and actually improves the brand appeal for me and should for others as well.

@imgdvl: Umm what exactly in my posting history are you referencing as I have don't recall ever saying what you are trying to quote me as saying. Personally, I'm more interested in seeing how MS will do overall in regards to sales rather than just bashing them with fanboytastic reasoning, and will even argue/counterpoint those that do such things.

OT: Thanks to disolitude referencing the continued support of WP8 by MS I may encourage my wife to buy this phone when she is ready to upgrade as the camera would be excellent.

So with the 7in1 is it actually a 6MP camera that uses wizardry to create 41MP images?

Either way I would expect it to be a good camera. MP doesn't really mean too much. Nokias usually outdo most phone cameras while having lower MP's. I miss my N86 8MP. Pity the micro use had to break off the mobo. Then they moved to Windows :(.

Are they not already dead? Only people who use them now either have a brick phone or it still works from before they had a good smartphone. Can't see too many people buying them now.

anything greater than 15-20mp is a waste unless you're building wallsize photos.  Putting even large in a phone with no real long or wide lense is just stupidity inmo.  Seriously....41mp with that lense?  It's a joke camera for people who look at base stats and get all horny.  A 41mp base

yes, up to 90"x 90" which is the size of a wall.  LOADS of use for that size photo besides the fact you'd need to take it to a printing house to get it printed.  God only knows what the cost would be but I bet more than $100 per photo...

Couple that with a lense that is about 5cm deep and you have yourself some real good quality pfffft.

Its a shame it's on a windows phone, the tech inside them are no way near that of samsung or sony or even xaomi phones, Camera on the other hand is amazing! although this isnt too new. They have done this already thought with one of thier symbian phones last year...

Annnnd here's me wondering why I bother to reply on a board that is almost purely ANTI-ms YET AGAIN.
