This. I am a one  console kind of guy and right now with so many good games coming out on th ps3 (and other good games that I havent played yet), it will be a couple of years before I get the ps4. But I WILL be getting one for sure.

Playstation Loyalist, so no, not getting the PS4 is not an option. I probably won't get it day 1 since I do not trust systems at launch even though I can afford one with several games. I'll probably give it about 5 or 6 months at least. Plus there is a plethora of PS3 games for me to play from last year and this year (still catching up).

That will probably be 2-3 years after launch. So 2015-2016.

I actually think the launch lineup is quite good, a lot stronger than the PS3 launch.

I will buy it because I trust Sony a little more and don´t care for the TV related stuff, I hate TV and Sports, so, overall, the PS4 is more appealing to me, that is all.
No hate, no fanboysm, I just don´t need any of the stuff the WiiU or One offers, I don´t have a girlfriend to dance with kinect, I watch netflix and surf the web on my laptop, I don´t care for Halo or Smash Bros.
It is just a matter of opinion really, I cannot make a strong argument against any console, it is just a freaking toy anyways.
And, like a toy, how can you criticize it, really? If the child or adult have fun with it, it is great, if not, then, it is not, for that particular child or adult.
I prefer the ps4, but, for the industry sake, I hope they all do very well. And, with the right exclusives down the line (not Halor, neither Smash Bros) I can think about buying a WiiU or One, who knows?

No that is boring. I did this so the whiners in the other thread by michael-5 would have equal opportunity to say why they do not want the PS4. It is all fair in forum moral duty of fairness and equalitness or some shit. Yada VB yadda yadda.

There wasn't many people in that thread who was asking for equal opportunity.  The thread was derailed (Not by a MSFT fan either) and revolved around that derailment.  It involved 3-4 people. Eventually when that derailment ended it ended up being a few fanboys argueing who can turn any thread into garbage.

@OP  I already answered but I will say Im hoping to pick up the PS4 next year or whenever Naughty Dog releases a game since I believe they will be the ones to get me interested.  I like Killzone as well, just not enough to buy a console for.  For me I need to wait for a few more games.


Jay no need to take my words as total seriousness here. I know vgchartz is usually all business, but I come from GAF were jokes and entertaing hyperboyle are common.

I'm wating 2 years as I did wth the ps3. I think second son and the order will be good games just not enough for me. I'll wait for more AAA games to be released.

i may not get one on launch due to many ps3 games coming out, also some big games imo still to be released upto march 2014 like ff13-3 and dark souls 2

I was hyped, but I got turned off big time by the fact that you have to pay for online, I will probably buy one along the line, since as of now there's no game that really interests me, and there's a lot of great titles coming out for my PS3, Wii U and 3DS, I'll be engrossed in those games for a while...

just a quick question though, does anyone think the PS4 will suffer the same fate as the PS3 when it originally launched? you know, where the previous console (PS2) outsold and had better games than the new one (PS3)
