Fuck You!

OP

Yakuza 3. Manly tears were shed.

Wow. You may be a stupid piece of shit and a nasty ass whore and a skeezer of the first rate and petri dish for venereal diseases and a filth encrusted cum dumpster and... I forgot where I was going with this.

Oh. Yeah. You may be all those things, but that's actually a good choice. Yakuza 3 was amazing.

Fucking die already.

Edit: On second thought, no it's not. All the really emotional story telling is through cut scenes. Eat a lunchpail of dicks.

Heavy Rain unfortunately had questionable writing, voice action and just sucky gameplay which distracted me from the story. I wouldn't call the story good.

Half Life 2, F.E.A.R. and Halo CE had strong emotional stories without the need for a cutscene every 5 minutes.

Thanks for proving that you haven't played the Last of Us and Heavy Rain.

Persona 4: Golden

Then Final Fantasy VII + VIII. Can't think of any more than that though.

Teddie: "Not even a nip."

Mother 3, or Paper Mario, even Fire Emblem Path of Radience and Radient Dawn

Come to think of it, Super Paper Mario had not one, but two twists that I didn't see coming and there's absolutely no cinematics. It just didn't come to my mind at first because the game is soooooo text heavy

My thread for teaching VGC some Nigerian slangs

Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, because aside for a few cinematic scenes, most of the emotion was brought out by the gameplay and immersive worlds. And when those few cinematic scenes came, they hit the ol' ticker hard.

super mario galaxy ending

Why? It's one of the best game's I've ever played and the final fight was awesome but in terms of story telling, there wasn't anything special there in my opinion.

well if you remember the ending how those stars sacrificed themselves and how a new galaxy was born "new life" that just moved me. a little story with a lot heart. and theres also rosalina reading that book..
