The fact that current gen games are being released that arguably look better than some wii U exclusives means obviously not a big leap over the ps3/360.

Anyone and everyone who ever posted in this thread are completely and utterly wrong.

Sony's consoles aren't confined by "generations." They have and always will transcend our time. They are basically from the future which is obviously why the PS3 could cure cancer and the PS4 will set out to cure World Hunger.

On the other hand, Nintendo's consoles are as primitive as rocks. So there's nothing to talk about here.

And Microsoft's console are just in that awkward middle ground wondering, "Why am I here?"

Place the Wii U in whatever gen you want, but at the end of the day, it's more competed with PS3 & 360 rather than PS4 & XBone which is why many consider the Wii U not next gen.

This is stupid, they say WiiU is 7th gen because of its power so how does PS4 become 7th gen if you go by that definition. You either agree with the WiiU being 7th gen or not.

It doesn't matter anyway, generations are related to time not console power.

I'm not contraddicting myself. Just with a glimpse, the gap is quite obvious between PS3 and PS4, while it's hardly noticeable between the PS3 and Wii U. 

However nice X and Sonic look, they don't remotely come close to games like inFAMOUS, The Division or Battlefield 4.  Regardless if those games appeal to you or not. 

When it comes to comparing the games from the Wii U to those from the PS360, we need an actual analysis to see if they're that technically superior and by what small margin (yes, there is a margin, I'm not saying otherwise -__-). Something that isn't necessary for the PS4 and XBO games.

That's just silly talk, everybody knows that Nintendo consoles are akin to holy artifacts, forged by the Gods themselves, just waiting to unleash their true potential showing all the infidels who actually wields the true power.

God of War Accension >>  Beyonetta 2
Puppeteer >> Mario 3d world
Sonic Generation >> Sonic lost world.

Some games like MK8 show the system can clearly do lighting and AA that isn't easily achived on PS3. Its visible but still a small generation. Its a similar gap seen between the ps2 vs original XBox+Gamecube.
