1. Bowser- They perfected Bowser. He now looks the way he was supposed to look. In Melee he looked down right terrible, but he got improved  a bit in Brawl. He still looked meh. This is not the case now. He looks awesome and colorful.

              He is  also stronger and faster.  Bowser is useless in Melee and Brawl.  FUCKING USELESS. He is so slow in those games, even using Pikachu would be a better idea. Bowser was abysmal in Melee and almost mediocre in Brawl. Now I can easily say that he is a GOOD character. He even got some new moves. The two-footed dropkick looks awesome.

             2. No tripping- Pretty self-explanatory. Tripping was a random mechanic that was simply annoying in Brawl. I am happy to see it gone for good.

            3. Mega Man- His NES design looks slick in HD. His moves are even better. He has a lot of the powers he got from the robot masters, including the leaf shield. Frickin awesome. He can also use a slide-kick and even use the Mega Upper from MvC. What  else can I say. He is awesome.

            4. Speed between Melee and Brawl- You can easily see how much faster this game is compared to Brawl. It's too early to tell if the game will be closer to Melee or not. Hopefully it is.

           5. Less landing lag- You may disagree about this one, but from what I saw  so far, specially the Mega Man Vs Mario battle, landing lag has been reduced. Some have been saying that L-cancelling is coming back.  I don't think that's the case. I wouldn't be sad if that was the case though.

Yea I'm hoping it is closer to Melee in terms of speed as well (and other aspects too). I just want the characters to be diversified and to avoid the 'me too' approach as much as possible. I love how Luigi diverged from Mario over time. I want to see that with other characters as well.

My only concern rests with the online, but if it doesn't work out then ... meh. I'll bring my Wii U by my buddy to play. I play it with him anyway.

Was he bad in Brawl? I did not play that one extensively since I was in undergrad at the time. I loved him in Smash 64 and Melee. Hated all the clones though. :/

   He was and he sucked. Mostly because of the physics. Seeing how Bowser is now a decent character, I am hopeful C. Falcon will be again good.

Captain Falcon is one of the worst characters in Brawl.

Yeah falcon was always at the bottom in brawl. I really hope they keep Samus' Zair. I pretty much mained her for that reason. I also hope they give her a slight bump in her smash attacks. She is such a weak char in brawl. You had to implement a lot of tricks with her to win matches.

I agree with everything except Bowser. He just seems far too agile to me. Doesn't really fit. I wish they had found a way to make him better without giving him crazy flip kicks and shit.

Wow! I hope that is rectified. It sounds like how Kirby was downgraded from Smash 64 into Melee.

Kirby was good in brawl.  Not top tier but really close if I remember right
