Doesn't look like CoD to me. I see no constant stream of killstreak rewards taking emphasis away from gun on gun and the way you can double jump and wall jump will make its gameplay drastically different depending on how well they utilize it in the maps. I don't mind the lack of damage either. It all ends up being scripted and predictable anyway. I can't think of a game that has real dynamic, complete destruction. And without that, what's the point.

Lol in bf3 when the pieces from a building fall on u ur dead, and from the bf4 footage you can topple building with players in it (idk if it's scripted though it's from mp). Also it looks like cod w/out the killstreaks but with the mecs. It's a quick run and gun game with objectives from what I saw from the gameplay. Not really getting the next gen feel though.

I'm pretty sure you can die if you are in that building falling over lol just like in bf3 Caspian border stripper pole.

The game looks really good, but since it's online only (or multiplayer only?) I don't think I'll get it.

Same, I'm not buying a game that only has multiplayer.

well, a game doesn't always have to have problems with physics just because it's not like battlefield. i think there is no destruction because the concept of the game wouldn't work then. the mech guys would destroy some parts which are often used from the people jumping on the walls to reach other areas and so on...

people shouldn't expect to get every multiplayer game with destruction in the future. a standard halo game will also have no destruction and the reason will be the halo gameplay and not because of bad physics.

people saying it's like CoD I completely disagree... I can't stand any CoD game
for that matter I can't stand any war FPS ("real" human military FPS).... and I want that game.... to me it's just a graphical style maybe..... but the gameplay reminds me more of a blend between lost planet and halo than anything CoD....

This is the least next-gen looking game of the "big" games announced so far. It looks like CoD with mechs, both graphically and in the animations, sounds etc. Having said that, I'm sure it will be a fun game. It just won't be like CoD4, which set the bar.

How do you know it won't set the bar?

I know a game's going to be great when I simply don't care about the tech analysis and just get excited about the gameplay. This, Mario Kart and the Division were the only games to do that for me at E3. I'll get the PC version of this for sure.

Yes but those same buildings fall the same way every time in BF3. Take the Caspian Border antenna tower or whatever it is. It falls when the losing team hits a certain point every single time. Or in Bad Company 2, the buildings could pretty much all be destroyed, but it was the same every time. Suddenly the buildings switch to low quality textures, then you hear the foundation screech, and it falls. Same way every time. To me, there is nothing particularly impressive about that. The fact that's it's so scripted and limited, takes away from the quality of it to me. Give me real, actual, dynamic damage or don't make a big deal about it.

CoD didn't invent twitchy, fast paced shooter action so I don't really see "CoD with mechs" I just see a twitch shooter with mechs. There are more than enough fundamental gameplay differences just in the lack of ridiculous streak rewards, the double jump, and the wall running. I have gotten more of a next gen feel from it than any other FPS. Just an opinion though. I mean, what we have seen from Killzone 4, it offers absolutely nothing new. BF4 looks like the game EA hyped to us for BF3. CoD Ghosts looks like CoD.

Killzone 4: we haven't even seen MP

BF4: def. looks next gen but again it's my opinion vs. yours

COD: Fishieeees!!!

and you missed destiny which looked awesome imo but again felt like halo and not much next gen. But we haven't seen much but little footage here and there so I will hold final judgement till more footage/demo/release

The bold part really gets to me. I was hoping for some destruction but this game is like cod but with mechs. Still it looks better than cod and looks easy to pick up and just enjoy.

Well it is running off Valve's Source Engine so i don't know if that engine is capable of good destructability.  It is pretty impressive for what they have achieved with such an old engine though.

The Source engine is known for having good physics (try Garry's Mod). Maybe not destruction per se, but they could at least implement some physics.

I doubt it would turn out well to be honest.  Respawn is a small team so they will have to work small this time around.  If TitanFall does well though the next TitanFall will have a better chance of using a more powerful engine.  MSFT and EA will prob push ads a lot for this game so I think it will turn out to be a success.
