Well it is running off Valve's Source Engine so i don't know if that engine is capable of good destructability.  It is pretty impressive for what they have achieved with such an old engine though.

The Source engine is known for having good physics (try Garry's Mod). Maybe not destruction per se, but they could at least implement some physics.

I doubt it would turn out well to be honest.  Respawn is a small team so they will have to work small this time around.  If TitanFall does well though the next TitanFall will have a better chance of using a more powerful engine.  MSFT and EA will prob push ads a lot for this game so I think it will turn out to be a success.

It really shouldn't take any effort to implement some physics into the maps, since the Source engine already has that kind of stuff figured out. I doubt they will ever make a TitanFall game on a high-end engine if it becomes a huge success like CoD.

It's quite possible that they will move over to fb engine if the game is a massive success unlike activision ea actually has a next gen engine that they can let dev. take advantage of. So if it is a success they can hire more dev. and make things happen. This "small" team can somehow add these suposidlyh amazing cloud features so I don't see how they can't use a newer engine for their next game.

Killzone 4: we haven't even seen MP

BF4: def. looks next gen but again it's my opinion vs. yours

COD: Fishieeees!!!

and you missed destiny which looked awesome imo but again felt like halo and not much next gen. But we haven't seen much but little footage here and there so I will hold final judgement till more footage/demo/release

KZ: who cares if its SP/MP. What we have seen looks like a current gen run of the mill shooter gameplay wise.

BF4: So you missed all of the hype trailers and promotions EA did for BF3? Because what they did for that game was show it on with the PC version at max settings. So now we see BF4 on consoles and it just looks like BF3 running on a good PC. It might be "next gen" graphics wise for consoles, but certainly not anyone who played/saw BF3 on a good computer. Furthermore another example where like KZ, the actual meat and bones of the game just looks like a current gen title.

Destiny looks boring as hell to me. Though, why do you give Destiny the benefit of the doubt based on not seeing much of it yet you're judging Titanfall as if it's out tomorrow based on footage from one mode on one map. There will be other modes, there will be other maps, there will be other weapons and abilities. There are different Titans.

Is it going to resemble CoD? Of course because, again, CoD core gameplay is just a simple twitch shooter. Not to mention the CoD creators are behind Titanfall.

I am still on the fence about Titanfall. I like the concept, but it does look massively unfinished to me (lacks a great deal of polish)

I will withhold further judgement until later.

Titanfall will be the GTA 4 of next gen.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

Once again I don't see anything close to the CoD franchise... the art style is not the same the gameplay is hugely different (double jump, wall ride, mechs)
CoD is nothing more than a really basic FPS with nice looking graphics for some.... so yes it looks like CoD but CoD is the generic of FPS so following your logic every FPS look like CoD to some extend....
what you are saying is like saying Sonic looks like Mario with loops and rings because it's a platformer....

Titanfalls not for me but it will find its crowd and due to the hype as long as it doesnt suck will sell well.

A tech analysis of Titanfall is pretty stupid IMO.
Titanfall is not about graphics or physics. It is about Gameplay and competition and it will dominate in that category.

This will be the next big thing on Xbox One, eventhough it does not look like next gen just from the screenshots.
I think the online infrastructure and the new matchmaking system on Xbox One will make this title stand out.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

well, a game doesn't always have to have problems with physics just because it's not like battlefield. i think there is no destruction because the concept of the game wouldn't work then. the mech guys would destroy some parts which are often used from the people jumping on the walls to reach other areas and so on...

people shouldn't expect to get every multiplayer game with destruction in the future. a standard halo game will also have no destruction and the reason will be the halo gameplay and not because of bad physics.

Good point.

Most developers will probably hesitate to implement dynamic physics and destruction in fear it will make the gameplay imbalanced. And that's especially important in an online-only game. Gamers get very angry about stuff that makes the competition imbalanced, and it can cause backlash.

Respawn already has a big challenge in making a balanced multiplayer with those big mechs versus infantry. And this is their first game.

The game is at LEAST 9 months away. This is ridiculously premature. They're just stirring the fanboy pot at this point...
