no its not Nintendos job, just like it wasnt sonys. link to the article here where the same topic was made when sony didnt or its just bias.

The excuses you guys come up with have no merit.

No company promotes platinum games. Stop the double standard bs. thats what fanatics do

yeah for this game it isnt eas job. however as i clearly said, none of their games get advertised. thats as plain and simple as i can make it.

Wonderful 101 is a Nintendo IP, whats the excuse not to promote your own IP?

Microsoft is promoting Sunset Overdrive and Titanfall like crazy, why don't Nintendo do that with their own game? Forget Platinum G. this is about their game. W101 is an exclusive not a multi-plat, I don't think you knew that.

Platinum Games don't need exposure from Nintendo they are already an established company. Vanquish, Bayonetta and Binary Domain.

Nintendo right now is a *ucked up company.

Also, OP, you're really not supposed to put profanity in thread titles. In posts, fine, thread titles, less so.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Specially The Wonderful 101 looks like   an amazing game. What a shame.

Wtf are you talking about? Sony has never published a Platinum games game. Nintendo, on the other hand, are publishing 101...

And Bayonetta 2. Luckily, people are more comfortable with this one than W101. There are tons of people saying Bayo 2 is the reason they are buying  a Wii U.  W101? Not so much.

Honestly if I were Nintendo I wouldn't market it too much either. I don't see it having much sales potential and if they're going to promote one niche game, they should promote Pikmin 3.

From a gamer perspective we'd like to see games such as TW101 & X get promoted but from a business perspective it makes a ton of sense to save the money for Pokemon X&Y, Wii Fit U, and Super Mario 3D World.

Did Nintendo market MadWorld? Nope, yet it sold almost a million. Madworld is one of their most successful games and it's a Nintendo exclusive game. Vanquish and Anarchy Reigns sold pretty bad on the HD consoles that are known for their successful third party sales. The Nintendo audience is limited but if they want a game, it will sell. I'm pretty much done with the 'its Nintendo's fault third party doesn't sell'. If a third party game on a Nintendo console sells bad, its Nintendo's fault. When a third party sells bad on PS360, then the game is bad? This isn't a fair comparison. W101 is a very niche game and doubt it will sell millions on the PS360, even with Mario-like marketing. Hideki Kamiya doens't make games that attract the mass.

It would have been a waste time to  market FF7, but  wait. It wasn't. We don't know how much of a hit a game can be.

The problem is that if Nintendo put out a big marketing campaign for The Wonderful 101 people would still never have heard of the console it's coming for.

Meaning that they need to market both the console and the games.

Lol...

MadWorld sold 710k while Vanquish sold 900k. How is that "pretty bad" for Vanquish, yet MadWorld sold "almost a million", which apparently isn't bad? 71% of a million is now "almost".

W101 is a Nintendo published game....Vanquish, Anarchy Reigns etc. were not published by Sony or MS.

If 1 game on Wii sells almost 80% of 1 game on the HD twins COMBINED, then how can you call Nintendo's marketing a flaw. I didn't see Sony market Ni No Kuni despite the excellent sales, but there are also other games that don't sell despite the marketing, but Sony doesn't get blamed for that (Sly4).  This proves a non-Nintendo published third party game can sell on Nintendo consoles.

Certain games actually DO sell pretty good on Nintendo consoles like JRPG's (Dragon Quest, Monster Hunter, Kingdom Hearts). It has to be something that appeals to Nintendo gamers. Games like Skyrim/Wolvenstein and other boring shooters don't appeal to Nintendo gamers at all, it has to be unique. So don't rage again when Watch Dogs won't sell, this is already known.
